About Us

My mum hand made loads of great knitwear for my brother and me when we were children. She was continuing something that my grandmother had done for her and it became something that we started doing for my own children when they were born several years ago.

I love being able to dress my daughters in unique clothes and coming up with designs that I know they will adore. After gifting some of these to friends and family, and seeing a resurgence in the popularity of knitwear for children, we were inspired to start Cicely's Wardrobe

I was taught to knit and sew by my mother. She made a lot of my clothes and when I had Edwina and her brother, we both made outfits for them.

When lockdown hit it was great to keep myself busy by knitting and sewing many new outfits for my granddaugthers.

I had kept a lot of clothes that were hand made for Edwina, which got passed on to my granddaugthers but it has been a delight to create new outfits for them as well.

It feels truly special to be crafting with my daughter, like her grandmother did with me, and to have the privilage of making knits for other little ones too.
